dYdX Trading Arena v2

The dYdX Arena was launched with the goal of allowing sponsored KOLs and community members to run trading competitions on dYdX. As part of this initial launch, the DEP sponsored a $10,000-prize competition hosted by DEG, a leading crypto KOL based in Japan. In total, the competition generated over $16M in trading volume, +$6k in trading fees, and brought in close to 100 new users to the platform. We believe there is now sufficient evidence to justify expanding and improving the platform to support more competitions and additional functionalities.

This grant will fund the development of new features, including:

• Improvements to the leaderboard
• Additional customizations to trading competition rules
• Improvements to prize distribution methodology (multi-sender functionality)
• Permissionless competition launch

As part of the grant, Crypto Learning Club will also be responsible for managing trading competitions hosted by permissioned KOLs hand-picked by the dYdX Foundation. This includes onboarding the KOLs, supervising the competitions, and managing the reward distributions.
