We’re super excited to announce that our first round of grant approvals has been processed! To kick things off, we have 9 approved grants with a total of $510,000.00 in pledged funding. Please see below an outline of each grant approved with more information available.

Since this first round tackled a number of existing RFPs, we’d also like to inform you of additional RFPs that have been added to list, you can find them here. And as always, we’re happy to hear new ideas not included in any RFPs. Keep the applications coming!

Funded grants

Multiple RFP Tooling Page

Grant includes work on Funding Rates page, Rewards & Tracking Simulator, and CLI Trading tool. All will be combined in a community accessible webpage that will continue to host additional work done and maintenance on behalf of Chaos Labs.

Funding Rates Page

Grant will be used to build a dedicated web app to give traders a view of all dYdX asset funding rates across multiple timeframes. The page will be interactive to include deep diving across different assets and historical analysis of changing rates. It will also include API functionalities to allow developer access.

Event Sponsorship – UTXO Conference - Prague

Grant will be used to sponsor a crypto conference in Prague surrounding primarily decentralized applications. The conference is scheduled for June 4 - 5 2022. The conference will host 1000 people in person and include an online live event. The sponsorship will include branding, logos on all publicity and materials, a special message and tweets.

Youtube Educational Library

Grant will be used to build a Youtube library dedicated to educating and guiding new users on the dYdX platform, perpetuals trading, and L2 networks. The library will be marketed across multiple platforms and accessible to everyone in English.

Liquidation Alert Tool

Grant will be used to build a self-hosted liquidation alerting tool to help traders be alerted of any asset price nearing their margin liquidation levels on a dYdX position. The bot will support alerting across multiple platforms, including Discord, Slack, Telegram. A tutorial will also be released to help onboard new users.

Turkish dYdX Newsletter and Marketing Campaign

Grant will be used to sponsor an existing Turkish newsletter with dYdX messaging and a few dedicated posts explaining dYdX and its benefits. The grant will also include marketing across Twitter campaigns, promotions and general engagement across the Turkish community.

The dYdX Report (Newsletter)

The grant will be used to build a weekly newsletter that covers all dYdX activity and broader L2 Starknet activity relevant to dYdX. The newsletters will be shared across multiple platforms and marketed through various streams to increase readership.

Educational Glossary and Newsletter

Grant will be used to build a website dedicated to weekly dYdX content posted in both newsletter format and Video content. The website will also host an educational glossary covering common pitfalls among new users to help explain complex topics, ie. Funding Rates, Liquidations, Perpetuals, etc..
